A dermatologist and researcher with extensive clinical, academic, and pharmaceutical experience, Dr. Todd Schlesinger has built a distinguished career in dermatology and therapeutic research. His work spans clinical practice, academic leadership, and collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry to advance dermatological innovation and patient care.
Dr. Schlesinger has held leadership roles at Epiphany Dermatology and the Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas in Charleston, South Carolina. In addition, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at The George Washington University of Medicine and Health Sciences, an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina, and a Clinical Preceptor at MUSC’s College of Health Professions. He also serves as Clinical Faculty at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Schlesinger has focused on managing complex dermatological conditions, including acne, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, cutaneous T-cell lymphomapsoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous lymphomas, vitiligo , psoriatic arthritis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis. His expertise extends to rare diseases such as necrobiosis lipoidica and prurigo nodularis, where he has contributed to innovative treatment strategies.
In the pharmaceutical research arena, Dr. Schlesinger has collaborated with leading companies, including AbbVie, Amgen, Athenex, Eli Lilly, Genentech, GSK, Pfizer, Regeneron, Sanofi, Novartis, and several smaller biotechs, participating in clinical trials that have advanced therapeutic options across dermatology and immunology. His work bridges scientific discovery and practical application, ensuring that patients benefit from cutting-edge advancements in the field.
Dr. Schlesinger earned his B.A. in Economics and M.D. from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at SUNY, Buffalo, NY. He is board-certified in dermatology and holds active medical licenses in Florida, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
